Calibre View creation

Hello,

I wonder what are the differences between the “SOURCEBASED”, “SCHEMATICONLY”, "SCHEMATIC"  and "LAYOUT" options for Calibre View extraction.

I used multifinger transistors and the result for "SHEMATIC" and "SOURCEBASED" are totally different. On top of that, "SCHEMATIC" option results are not matched at all!

I've been reading the manual manual on what these mean but I still haven't pinpointed exactly how the differences are. I read that the “SOURCEBASED” and “SCHEMATICONLY” options are most appropriate for Calibre View creation. But why?

Many thanks.

Given that Calibre is a tool from Mentor Graphics, not Cadence Design Systems, it would be far more appropriate to ask this question on a Mentor Graphics forum rather than here.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
