QRC Extraction issue

Hello,

My layout passed DRC and LVS checks.

In the Annotation Browser, Connectivity shows it has an issue "Unverified Connectivity Areas 1 -> one unknown net". It highlights the full circuit layout when selected.

It also gives me a hint "Layout area with unverified connectivity because the interactive shape-chasing limit was reached. To remove the marker, extract either the area concerned or the entire design."

I have tried QRC extraction, which gives me error:

ERROR (LBMISC-215479): at "Techgen -trans": Connect layer 'net_nwell' from lvsfile is declared as stamped layer in p2lvsfile. Please check the p2lvsfile. (Cannot locate the p2lvsfile to start with).

Please give suggestions on how to go about solving this issue.

Thank you.

The first message is coming from the Virtuoso Layout XL extraction engine. The extraction it is talking about is Layout XL (Connectivity->Update->Extract Layout) not QRC.

For the QRC message, it suggests something is wrong with your QRC setup. The p2lvsfile should be in the technology directory for QRC - the path to this should appear as the "Setup Dir" on the QRC form.

However, you may want to check if your QRC setup is correct. You didn't mention which LVS tool you're using.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Also - the fact that you have that message in the annotation browser may not really matter if it's LVS clean. You only need to be running QRC if you want to extract the parasitics.

    Thank you Andrew.

I did the extraction using Layout XL (Connectivity->Update->Extract Layout) as you said.

For the LVS I used is the Layout XL (Assura -> Run LVS) and for QRC I used (Assura -> Run QRC).
