how do I attach technology library with new virtuoso lib

Hi, I copied library from design with different technology, library and each cell has data.dm, I am assuming data.dm file still has technology information of source library. How do I update library and cells with new technology.

Thanks.

Tools->Technology File Manager in the CIW and then use the attach button.

This is of course assuming that the technologies are similar (using the same layer numbers for layout) - you didn't really make it clear what you were trying to do here.

My apologies for not being clear. I have copied cells from a lib with same technology as new lib. For new lib we have created new technology area so I want to make sure that copied cells point to new technology area, instead of original tech (even though it is same). So Tools->Technology File Manager -> attach should take care of it ?

Provided that you have the technology library defined in your cds.lib and it has the same name as before, it doesn't matter where it's located. There's no need to re-attach the technology library (the binding is just done based on the library name).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
