Import physical view doesn't include all pins.

I want to copy the boundary and the pins of an existing layout to a new view. I do this by creating the new view, and the to use load physical view to copy the boundary and the pins. I see however that not all the pins are copied. They all are of the type pin, but still some are left out. What can be the reason for this?

My understanding (without doing experiments to prove this) is that load physical view will only copy pins across if the nets/terminals are in the target view (i.e. the source schematic view had terminals with those names). It doesn't copy pins that weren't in the source schematic, because otherwise you would have a mismatch with the source view.

Might that be what you're seeing?

Otherwise, I think you'll have to supply more info (you didn't even mention which version you're using), and it's probably going to be easier to answer this with sight of your data (so customer support is probably the best option).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
