How to change the mode of "Significant Digits" in VertMarker from "Auto" to "Manual" in .cdsenv?

I tried to put the following line into .cdsenv

viva.vertMarker significantDigits string "3"

Found the digits was changed from 4 to 3 in VertMarker property pop-up window. But the mode is still "auto" and the number "3" is in gray color. I had to change the mode from "Auto" to "Manual" by hand in pop-up window. 

Is there some variable can be set in .cdsenv to change mode in cdsenv? Thanks.
