Cadence 6.1.7 on CentOS 7

Hello,

I have installed Cadence 617 that runs from a RHEL server 5.6, when I try to launch virtuoso I receive the following message.

Make sure that cdsGetOABinPath is part of the Cadence installation

Error: No proper OA2.2 installation found.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Not sure why your post title says "6.1.7 on CentOS 7" if you say it's running on RHEL 5.6?

Anyway, did you do the "configuration" step when installing IC617? In general the best answer for the OpenAccess configuration is to say "no" to that question and then it will leave OA configured to point at the installation that comes with the release.

Is the $OA_HOME environment variable set? If so, unset that environment variable (it's not recommended to use this).

If you look in the root of your IC617 installation (i.e. where 'cds_root virtuoso' says the installation is), there's a directory called "share". Underneath that there should be a symbolic link "oa" - what does that point to? (i.e. "ls -l share/oa")

    Thanks,

    Andrew
