I want to modify the resistance of the M1. Any idea how I can do that?

Thanks

The first step would be to provide some context to your question. You could be asking about changing the resistivity in the process itself, or for a particular tool. Either way, some details are pretty important - without that nobody will be able to answer.

    Thanks Andrew for your reply.

The process will use Al instead of Cu as M1. So, I want to account for that. Any suggestions?

Yes, changing the metal from Copper to Aluminium would change the resistivity.

Yes - my suggestion is for you to ask a well-framed question! What kit? What tool? Your question is so open ended that it could mean many things. If you ask vague questions, you get vague answers, I'm afraid (like my last reply). I don't mean to be rude, but you really need to ask clear questions (please see the forum guidelines).

    Ok.

    I am using IBM_PDK 65nm 10lpe process.

    Cadence Version: 616

    Extraction tool: Caliblre from MG.

I want to modify the resistivity of M1.

    Do I modify xRC, LVS..?

    Thanks Andrew

It's a shame you didn't mention that at the beginning. What you need to do is modify the technology data for Calibre xRC, which as you pointed out is a Mentor Graphics tool (not Cadence).

Because of that, your question would be better posed on a Mentor Graphics forum; whilst it's possible somebody here can answer it, it's more likely in a forum for the tool in question.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
