Confusion about DRC / LVS / Parasitic extraction tools

Hello,

I am trying to install Cadence verification tools in my university but I am totally lost to choose packages.

I will use GF8HP and GF8RF PDK through MOSIS.

So, I installed Assura for DRC and LVS. Assura can make parasitic extraction?

I know there is 2 packages to make extraction too, EXT and PVS.

So, I have to use EXT, ASSURA or PVS to set QRC_HOME?

PVE doesn´t exist any more?

    Currently the following "LVS->Parasitic extraction" CAD flows are provided by Cadence:
    a. Assura LVS -> Quantus (older flow)
    b. PVS LVS -> Quantus (current recommended flow)

    It is possible to do parasitic extraction using the very old "Assura RCX" flow but this is no longer recommended.

    Yes, that's right

    Yes, that's right. PVE (Physical Verification and Extraction) package was created for only ver11 and ver12. It has both PVS and Quantus. But it has been decided that it is better to separate the tools and so from ver13, we are back to separate "PVS" and "EXT" packages.

    If PVS (Physical Verification System) DRC/LVS decks as well as PVS-QRC parasitic techfiles are available, would you please install "PVS" and "EXT" packages? If they are not available, you might have to use "ASSURA" and "EXT".

    Please set "QRC_HOME" shell variable to the installation path of "EXT" package.
