$system() command in Verilog-A

Hi,

Is there any possibility that I can run $system() command in Verilog-A model. I want to an external script that computes some values and return it to my verilog-a parameter.
example:
S= $system("sh myfile.sh")

I check the documentation of virtuoso and Verilog-A but I couldn't found such command.
Any work around for it?

Regards

    There's no support for $system in VerilogA. There have been a couple of requests in the distant past, but nothing with high enough priority - so there's no plan to do so.

    The only option I can think of would be to take advantage of the means of linking in  your own external program - search in cdnshelp for "Calling functions implemented in C". Note I've not tried this myself (at least not for many years), so I don't know how effective it would be.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
