Need to Set Design before issuing this command

Hello,

I am using ADE L in Virtuoso version IC6.1.6.500.1
All of a sudden I try to use my saved spectre_state for a schematic and it shows me " Need to Set Design before issuing this command" . I dont know how to solve this, so I could not perform the simulation. Can you please help me understand this issue!

How are you starting ADE? Are you launching from the CIW Tools menu, or from the Launch menu from a schematic? Or are you double clicking the state cellView in the  library manager?

Can you please paste exactly the error you get - ideally there's an error message number too. I couldn't find anything referencing the message you said - but I didn't look that hard - a bit of context would help.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
