ADEXL: use DirectPlot->Main Form with saved data

Hello!

I run my simulations in a /tmp/ folder in our server, that is weekly cleaned, and I copy the meaningful results in my local folder. So, the Result Directory Location in ADEXL is set to the tmp folder.

Now, I want to open ADEXL and use Direct Plot-> Main Form with the saved data in the local folder, not the /tmp/ one. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks a lot!!

You should be able to use Right Mouse->Save Results over the name of the history in the History tab of the Data View assistant, and say you want to save elsewhere including the Copy PSF Results? switch.

Then you need to save the adexl view (so that it knows  you've re-pointed the results to the new location).

    Andrew.

Thank you Andrew, I have tried what you suggested.

    - The history I've copied is locked now, this happened automatically after I saved it. (Can I unlock it?)

    - If now I select the history in ADEXL with Right click->View Results,  and I try for example Right click->Output Log ->Irun.log, I see the log file from the /tmp directory, not my local one. How can I switch between the original results in /tmp/ and my local copy? The /tmp/ folder is deleted every week so I will loose it soon.

    - In case I copy the pdf folder from linux shell, is there a way to point to it with Direct plot->main form?

Thanks again for your patience and your help!

    To answer your questions:

    1. You can use Right Mouse->Unlock over the history name in the history tab to unlock it.
    2. If you close the tab and reopen it (from the tabs at the bottom of the "Results" tab) for the interactive in question, then you should find that Output Log->Irun Log should then point at the new location - i.e. where you've saved it to. What you're seeing is because not everything in the opened session gets updated (you can close the tab before the "Save Results" or after doing the "Save Results" - both should solve the problem you're seeing).
    3. No.

    Andrew.
