Power IR/EM vs Voltus-Fi

Hi All.

I understand correctly that there are two tools for IR/EM analysis?
Can anyone explain what difference between "Power IR/EM" vs "Voltus-Fi"?

There are two flows for IR/EM analysis for analog/mixed-signal designs - Voltus-Fi L and Voltus-Fi-XL. Voltus-Fi-L works on Quantus (QRC) generated extracted views, while Voltus-Fi-XL works on a transistor-level DSPF.

Where did you see the reference to 'Power IR/EM' as a tool?

    Regards,

    Saloni

Can you also tell me the IC version you are using? Going back to some older IC releases, you will find 'Power IR/EM' as an available option in Layout Editor. This was to allow launching VPS-L. VPS-L has now been replaced by Voltus-Fi-L: they both work with extracted views, but the GUI interface for Voltus-Fi-L is better and is same is Voltus-Fi-XL. In the latest IC617 versions, you will see VPS-L, Voltus-Fi-L and Voltus-Fi-XL, so it is more obivous what you are running. If you are new to these flows, I'd recommend using Voltus-Fi-L or XL.
