    Have you run LVS? If yes, which tool did you use? If you ran LVS using Assura, can you tell me the IC and Assura versions you are using.

    Regards,

    Saloni

    Yes, LVS passed without any problem.

    I am using IC617, ASSURA41 and EXT172.

    I just tried the same combination of versions (latest ISR's) and see no issues. Is Assura -> Open Run available? Try selecting run directory + run name and see if that enables the menu. Also, what does environment variable QRC_HOME point to?

    Yes, Open Run is available. I selected the run name.

    I just notices that when I did it, an error appears in terminal: Failed to obtain license for "Assura_UI"

    So, it may be a licensing problem. But I don't understand why. I was running older package of EXT without problem.

    I just solved this error of license setting ASSURA_USE_PVS_LICENSE ambient variable.

    But, it did not solve my problem. I cannot run Assura QRC, because its menu is grey.

    I just can run Setup Quantus QRC in the QRC menu of layout editor.

    I would like to run Assura QRC using a command file to know which type of error would appear. It could help me to identify the problem. Do you  know how to do it?

    The problem remains but I know now that it may be an installation problem.

    I just ran "qrcui" from "<cds_install_path>/EXT181/tools/extraction/bin/64bit" in a terminal. It appears the QRC menu in a single window. From this window, I succeeded in doing the extraction without any error.

    So the problem is that "qrcui" executable is not loaded correctly from layout editor. Missing a variable? I don't know, because CIW loads all context files without any error or warning...

    The menu in Virtuoso is separate from the "qrcui" executable. That is not used when you use the menus in the layout editor.

    Can you post a picture of both the Assura pulldown menu contents and the QRC pulldown menu contents?

    Also, what does the SKILL function _qrcCheckAssuraVersion() return in the CIW? Also what does _vuiGetAssuraVersionString() return?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Here are the returns of the functions:

    _vuiGetAssuraVersionString()
    "@(#)$CDS: assura version av4.1:Production:dfII6.1.7-64b:IC6.1.7-64b.500.12 05/03/18 21:39 (sjfhw625) $"

    _qrcCheckAssuraVersion()

    Thanks for the QRC pulldown menu - could you also post the Assura pulldown menu contents too as I requested. So far nothing looking too unusual and I can't see see too much why this wouldn't work.

    You may need to contact customer support if we can't get to this simply.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Thanks - that’s useful evidence as now I can peel another layer off the onion and hopefully figure out the root cause (the QRC menu item is greyed out because of a missing item in the Assura menu; just need to determine why that is missing). Hopefully I’ll be able to look later today.

    Regards,

    Andrew
