displaying custom text in a schematic info balloon when hovering over an instance

Hi,

I've recently been playing around with info balloons in a schematic view. I was wondering, is it possible to display some pertinent text in a balloon when hovering over an instance?

Something like "This amplifier does such-and-such", so that someone else can hover over individual devices or instances and get information on what they're do.

My apologies if there's already something else that does this.

Thanks

Derek

    Hi,

    Andrew Beckett

Do you where I can define what parameters to be displayed when hovering over an instance?

With my current configuration the ref des and component value is shown when i hover over an component. It would be neat if I was able to add the footprint to that list.

I thought I could reuse this post even if it is a bit old.

    Thanks,

    Alexander

    Hi Alexander,

OK, in that case you're in the wrong forum. You should post this question in the PCB Design forum instead (we also ask you in this forum not to post on the end of old threads, and to provide tool and version details, which would spot this kind of posting in the wrong place).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew
