DVFS feature ?

Hi,

in my previous company I have a DVFS feature that connected all the power and gnd automatically in the schematic.

For example after construct a schematic I can go to schematic window and select create->DVFS and all the power pin in the schematic will have a little wire and the text with correct power supply name.

How can I find this feature in my current cadence ?

thanks

    Hi Nhumai,

Presumably it was some custom SKILL code, as it's not a standard feature of the Virtuoso Schematic editor. I've never heard of the term "DVFS"...

The closest is probably the ability to create wire stubs on a schematic either for registered terminals when you create an instance, or the Create->Wire Stubs and Names - but these may not do exactly what you want.

    Andrew.

    Thanks a lot Andrew,

Yes, I checked and these feature is under vendor name on schematic manual. Do you know if cadence have that piece of skill code somewhere  which I can use ? with my very beginning of learning skill I don't think I can have that feature in time.

    thanks

    Nhumai,

We don't have this vendor's SKILL code (and even if we did, we wouldn't be able to give it away as it's not ours). I'm not aware of any example that does the same (of course I don't know exactly what it does). I wrote something years ago which placed power pins over special pins on instances, but that's not really what you're asking for here so I don't think it would particularly help to share that code.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
