License Mistake

Dear all.

Today, when I run my file in Virtuoso, the dialog appeared:

(icLic-23) License Virtuoso_Layout_Suite_L ("95300") is not available to run Layout-L. Would you like to try checking out the License Virtuoso_Layout_Suite_XL ("95310") instead?

Normally, I choose Yes, but I made a mistake and chose Never. As a result, I never open any file anytime.

Could you please tell me how to fix this ? I really appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Nguyen N

First of all, posting in the comments and suggestions forum isn't the best place to ask a tool-specific question - luckily I've started monitoring questions posted there as sometimes they get mis-filed. So I moved this to Custom IC Design.

Look in your ~/.cdsenv file (i.e. the .cdsenv file in your home directory). It will have added a line:

    license VLSL_UseNextLicense string "never"

You can remove this line and then restart virtuoso, and it will then go back to the default behaviour of asking you.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Dear Mr. Beckett,

Wow, thank you very much for your help. I can access to my file again. It's a very useful tip for me.

    Have a nice day!
