Virtuoso 6.1.7 ADE XL always pending...

Hi, I'm doing the MC simulation in Virtuoso 6.1.7. I think every setting is correct and the mc.lib is correct. However, the MC simulation keeps running and never stops (none of points is complete). Have you guys run into such situation? Thanks.

    What's the "mc.lib" ?

What simulator (and version) are you running?

How are you running Monte Carlo - is this from ADE XL? ADE Explorer? ADE Assembler?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

"mc.lib" is the Monte Carlo simulation model library, provided by TSMC180 BCD Gen II.

    I'm using Virtuoso 6.1.7

I'm running Monte Carlo simulation from ADE XL.

    Regards,

You still didn't say which simulator and simulator version you're using. mc.lib sounds as if it might be an HSPICE model file rather than a Spectre model file, so I have my doubts (I'm not familiar with the technology setup for this specific design kit).

    Andrew.

Hi Andrew, Sorry for the confusion.

I'm using Spectre simulator under MMSIM package 151. The version is 15.1.0.257.

The provided mc.lib are spice model library.

    Thanks for your help.

It would probably be best to contact customer support as it's unclear precisely what the issue is, and seeing it and being able to debug in more detail than is feasible on a public forum would be wise.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
