The effective CDF data for the following objects differs from their base CDF data

Hello,

The message  "the effective CDF data for the following objects differs from their base CDF data" always display when refreshing the library manager. The situation occurs after a hierarchical copy, how can I fix this problem.

Thanks

Yang

You're using an old, no longer supported version, IC5141 (or before) from the colours on the screenshot. Back then, the refresh was a bit dumb when it came to CDF refresh. The challenge was that it couldn't really tell whether it had changed with respect to disk, so it listed every CDF that had been opened in the session on the off-chance that it had been updated on disk - it really couldn't tell.

This was addressed (I think) in early IC615 (almost 8 years ago), where we made it smarter and would only show CDF that had a user CDF (i.e. been updated in memory) or had been changed on disk, rather than everything.

So for now you'll just need to live with it - you can hit "None" if you really don't want them to update.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
