Change the tooltip text color in Cadence VirtuosoICADV12.3

Hi,

How can I change the tooltip text color from white to black?!
Currently it is white text with background red, hence visually it is not clear.
I want to change the tooltip text color to black with background red/white. Kindly let me know the procedure.

Thanks and Regards,

Bitan

    Hi Bitan,

This probably depends on which window manager you're using. I've come across this in newer KDE versions - and this article describes how to fix it. This is an issue with the Plasma desktop. The suggestion is:

In KDE Control Center, under Appearances and Themes -- Color settings: There are a couple of resources called:
Tooltip Text - This is set to white by default
Tooltip Background - This is set to black by default

Change the text color to black and the background to white. The background is still the pinky-red sort of color, but the text changes. I've not confirmed this as my primary machine is not running a new enough KDE desktop (I'd have to reboot to a different OS version to check).

Of course, if you're not using KDE, the solution may be different...

    Regards,

    Andrew.
