How to change CIW and LibraryManager font size

Hi,

Because I replaced my old display to be a high resolution display, all cadence CIW and LibraryManager label and menu fonts become very small. How can I make the font size to be larger?

My cadence version is IC5141.151. I tried to put "hiSetFont("CIW" ?size 20)" into my .cdsinit file. but IC51 says there is syntax error for it.

In IC5141, that was before TrueType fonts were introduced (in IC617). So you would have to do:

    hiSetFont("text" "-*-courier-medium-r-*-*-20-*")

Note that changing the font size can mess up various forms, so watch out.

For the library manager, this has to be done via an X resource (e.g. ~/.Xdefaults). One way is to create a file with this:

    cdsLibManager*textFontList: -adobe-courier-medium-r-*-*-20-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

    and then do:

    xrdb -merge yourFileWithTheAbove

More details can be found in <IC5141instDir>/doc/libManager/libManager.pdf (chapter 12).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
