Generating Device In Schematic From Layout

I'm looking at a layout that had several dummy devices placed for matching purposes that do not exist in the schematic. I know how to generate schematic devices in layout but is it possible to do the opposite procedure?

Did you create the layout with Virtuoso Layout Suite XL? You can create dummies from a selected instance using the Right Mouse->Create Dummy With Net... (also as part of Modgens), and then using Connectivity->Backannotate you can add them back into the schematic.

    Regards,
