Matlab cadence integration setup

Hi everyone,

I am using cadence ICADV 12.3 and ADE XL for my simulations. I am trying to setup integration between cadence and Matlab to do my post simulation processing. I saw some tutorials online but I was not able to find anything to help me setup this connection and the related settings in both Matlab and cadence side.I would appreciate any sort of help in this regard.

You pretty much just need to have matlab in your UNIX path. For more info I would go to support.cadence.com and search for "matlab ade xl" and with the category as Articles and App Notes.

There is also a much neater integration in ADE Explorer/Assembler which is more tightly coupled. There is a rapid adoption kit for this: Virtuoso ADE MATLAB Integration and also a couple of videos: Making the most of using MathWorks MATLAB and Virtuoso ADE Product Suite together and Using the Enhanced Virtuoso ADE Product Suite and MATLAB Integration: A Practical Guide

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Actually I have matlab in my UNIX path but for some reason I am not able to see "M"button in the results toolbar in ADE XL. I would appreciate any sort of help. Thanks in advance for your time.

    Thanks,

    Ata

You said you're using ADE XL. The new integration (the "M" button) is only in ADE Explorer and Assembler - and you need to be using IC617/ICADV122 ISR10 or later (I think it's ISR10 anyway).

    Andrew.
