Call Python Function from Verilog A Device Model

Hi,
is it possible to call a Python function in the Verilog A device model for spectre which carries out some calculations? If not is it at least possible to call a C function over PLI for spectre?

The Verilog-A LRM has a section explaining how to create a VerilogA function executing external C-code. A script is provided "mmsim_genplugin" which compiles the C-code and makes it available for SPECTRE and your VeirlogA module. It works nicely.

One big limitation is that variables passed to the C-code can only be scalars (no arrays).
