add xy location to show selection info toolbar?

In layout (ICADV12.3), toolbars->show selection info and then hovering over or selecting an instance shows only the InstName and CellName. Is there a way to show the xy location of the instance as well?

As far as I know, the contents of this toolbar can't be customised. Personally I've never been a big fan of this toolbar because it takes valuable real estate on the screen and is pretty inflexible as to what it shows. If you would like the xy coordinate in there, I would suggest you contact customer support and ask for an enhancement (there was a generic question to ask whether it could be customised about 5 years ago, but the answer to that was no at the time - the request didn't specifically ask for what extra information they wanted though).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

OK thanks.  As an alternative solution to the same issue - is there a way to display more significant digits on the xy location shown on the Edit Instance Properties form?  That form seems to be limited to 1nm resolution, vs. the Property Editor Assistant which shows the resolution down to the techfile limit (.25nm etc), e.g. on the same instance, Edit Instance Properties reports x=3.024, but Property Editor Assistant correctly shows x=3.02375.

I tried this, and don't see the problem (using several different versions). For me, the "Origin:  X" and "Y" for the instance are shown with the full precision in the Edit Instance Properties form:

If you're seeing something different, I suggest you contact customer support. I haven't found any reports of precision loss on this form for the XY coordinates.
