Cadence crashes every time I change a wave's color

I am new to the Cadence Forums and am not sure if this is the correct place to ask..

I am experiencing crashes every time I right click on a wave and change its color. I am using ADE L.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

I don’t recall anyone having this issue, but it would be very useful to know which version of the tools you’re using to check more carefully. What does Help->About say? ( I want the full sub version number).

    Thanks,

    Andrew

I didn't find (from a very quick search) any reports of such a problem (and didn't have a chance to re-test that version since I'm on the road this week). Can you try with a more recent hot fix (e.g. the latest IC617 hotfix IC6.1.7-64b.500.23 ) to see if it still happens? I can't imagine that the bug would have survived this long without being fixed if it's that simple to reproduce. You're currently using the base (initial) release of IC617 and often it's wise to move to a hotfix version because issues arise from the major changes that occur in each new base release.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Okay, thanks for your research. I will talk to the person at my university that manages the software. Unfortunately, for me, his response time is slower than the forums.

    I appreciate your help, Andrew.

Just wondering whether you could work around it by using the Right Mouse->Properties with the trace selected and changing the color from there rather than changing the color directly from the right mouse button menu. Not sure if that would help, but might be worth it to see if you have a workaround.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
