display result from on-going simulation

Hi,

In my case, I need to set output format to fsdb for spectre transient simulation. However, w. that change, I cannot load/update waveform while simulation is on-going, I can only do that after simulation finishes or when I stop it.

Is this intended? are there settings that can remove this limitation?

thanks,

Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

One of my colleagues had a CCR 1917977 related to update not working when compression was also enabled, but I think the best thing would be for you to contact customer support to investigate further. The CCR hasn't been resolved yet (strictly it was for AMS, but it may be similar for spectre). I've not re-checked with current spectre versions to check the behaviour - I'll leave that to my colleagues in customer support (since I'm travelling at the moment).

    Andrew.
