ADE XL Error

Hello,

ADE XL is complaining error about the level of metals from process.scs

ERROR (SFE-1996): "/home/grps/ef-test/GLF8HP/130HPSIGE-8HP/V1.8_3.0HP/Models/Spectre/models//process.scs" 1236: Parameter `nlev1x': Cannot run the simulation because an unknown parameter `wireopt' has been specified in expression `int(wireopt/100)'. Correct the expression and rerun the simulation.

When I go to the process.scs line 1236 and I see  nlev1x  = int(wireopt/100) and how do I correct it?

Well, the error suggests that the models are expecting a parameter wireopt to be set somewhere, but it isn't. Perhaps there is a section in the model files where the parameter wireopt is set and you're not including the relevant file or section of those models? Maybe it's expecting it to be defined as a design variable in ADE? However, guessing this is not wise - you either need to follow what the documentation says for this design kit (hopefully it says which files and sections should be included in the Setup->Model Libraries or corner setup in ADE XL), or you should contact the foundry for information about what is expected. Just defining a variable yourself would not be a good idea if you don't know what is a reasonable value to set it to.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello Andrew,

Thank you so much indeed. Your guess was absolutely correct.  I set the variable in ADEXL and it is working.
