Align for fluid guard rings

Hi,

I'm using Virtuoso 6.1.7 version,

I'm not able to use Quick Align command for fluid rings. Is there any option to select fluid rings using align commands?

Thanks & Regards

Vallabha

    Hi Vallabha,

You can do this already. First hit "F4" to turn on Partial Selection (can also be done via Options->Selection and changing the mode to "Partial"; note F4 again will toggle it back to Full), and then when you use quick align you can select either the centre line or the edges of the fluid shape (on whatever layer the controlling shape is on) and when you align that edge to something else, the fluid guard will stretch to the new location. If you don't do this in partial selection mode, the entire guard ring moves, which I assume is not what you want.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your quick response.

Yes, I wanted to partial select the fluid rings using quick align.

After turning on Partial selection also it was not working.

Now I  turned on options->selction->via partial selection. Now I'm able to partial select fluid rings using Quick Align command.

    Thanks & Regards
