CDF parameter of View - Default Options

Hello,

I am sure this has come up before but couldn't find it on the forums.

The query is relating to the properties of a VerilogA block. When the block is placed in a schematic and the properties are viewed (using Q) the default “CDF parameter of View” comes up as “Use Tools Filter” which does not show the parameters in the Verilog code (see Fig.1) . It is only after clicking on the view “veriloga” that the parameters can be seen (Fig.2).

Only an inconvenience but I was wondering if there is a way the CDF Parameter of view can be set such that it searches for "veriloga" rather than the current default which is "Use Tools Filter"?

Many thanks, Chris.

    Hi Chris,

If you are using a configured schematic (i.e. you have a config view created in the hierarchy editor, and have opened the schematic via that config view), then the form will show the CDF parameters for the view picked in the hierarchy editor. In essence, parameters used for a specific view (e.g. VerilogA, verilogAMS and so on) may be a subset of all of the parameters, and so this "CDF Parameter of view" shows only the relevant parameters for the view selected. If you're not using a config, it doesn't really know which view is going to be chosen in simulation, so it asks you to pick.

More details can be found in this article: Setting the default view for CDF Parameter to View in Edit Properties form . This second article may also be helpful: SKILL: How does the Use Tools Filter/view name display the CDF parameter of an instance in Edit Object Properties Form

    Regards,

    Andrew.
