Running worst case corners from ADEXL

Hello,

I am trying to verify my design against PVT by running the worst case corners. I have found that I can define my corners in two methods in ADEXL:

1. From Single Run, Sweep and Corners : I can define my corners and run the simulation

2. From  Creat Worst Case Corners

What are the difference in between? and which one should be the best.

I am using Cadence Virtuoso IC6.1.5

Thank you

First of all, you're running a pretty old version - the final hot fix of IC615 was from 6.5 years ago (and we've had IC6.1.6, IC6.1.7, and IC6.1.8 since then). That said, the answer is the same now as it was then - but you should really use something more recent.

Single Run, Sweeps and Corners simply runs all the enabled corners.

Worst Case Corners run mode uses one of a number of algorithms to identify which corners are the worst case for each of your measurements with specifications, and produces a subset of corners that could be run to avoid needing to run them all. The methods used will trade off the number of corners run to determine this versus accuracy/completeness - but the goal is to reduce the corner set so that design iterations can be performed more efficiently. You should read the documentation for more details.
