for converting a rectangular fluidgaurdring in to a polygon

Hi,

I tried to convert a rectangular fluidgaurdring in to a polygon.

But I got a warning.

*WARNING* (LE-105557): The instance cannot be updated since the device Convert to Polygon fluid function could not be found. Check installation

please help me

    Hi Ganesh,

    My guess is that this is due to a limitation of the implementation of the fluid guard rings in the technology you're using. If they were built using the template mechanism we provide, I wouldn't expect this error - but if they are custom fluid guard rings (e.g. for advanced node processes) then a specific method has to be provided to support this. So, some questions:

    1. Which IC subversion are you using? (Help->About will tell you this)
    2. Which Foundry PDK (Foundry and node) are you using?

    My IC version is ICADV 12.3-64b.500.21.

    I am working on  SAMSUUNG 14nm.

    OK, so in that case the Fluid Guard rings are absolutely custom for that technology - FGRs in FinFET and similar advanced nodes are quite different.

    So you should contact Samsung about this.
