window focus policy issue (Always focus Navigator first time)

Hi,

I use Cadence version (IC6.1.8-64b.500.9).

When I open Virtuoso schematic or layout, the Navigator is focused first time, so I can't do any infix command before I click or move out cursor and move in again.

Once I click the schematic window or move cursor out and in, the focus policy ( CanvasDelay) is working correctly.

When I use version IC6.1.8-64b.500.6, there is no issue about that. However I change the version later 500.8, it happens.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks for your post, I thought it was just me. I had the same problem and found removing the following file fixed it:

    .cadence/dfII/Navigator/Options.xml

    I have opened a case.

    Hi John and Andrew,

I tried your proposal and it worked in the first moment. But as soon as I clicked for example at 'Navigator > OBJECTS > All' the same unwanted mouse focus behavior (always at Navigator after closing a schematic with CTRL-W) appeared again.

But just now I found a new version ICADVM 18.10.100 (18.1-64b.500.10) available in our cadenv and I tried it immediately => it works now as expected even with the original Options.xml :-)

    Best regards,

    Werner
