spiceText view with AMS OSS netlister

I have a spice model for a device imported as a spiceText view. It runs with spectre and AMS when using the unified netlister but with the OSS netlister the models don't seem to be included.

I would just use the unified netlister but due to another issue I need to use OSS. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Thanks,

Robin

    Hi Robin,

    I hope that you've reported the Unified Netlister issue (maybe it's been fixed already in a later version) via customer support because from IC618 onwards, UNL is the only option - we've finally retired both the old cell-based netlister and OSS.

    I'm guessing that the issue is that you get this kind of error (CUVMUR) because OSS doesn't know to include the SPICE text file into Spectre. I managed to workaround this by using Setup->Model Libraries and then adding the path of the spice.spc file within the spiceText view.

    foruminv I1 ( .VSS(cds_globals.\gnd! ), .VDD(net2), .Y(c), .A(b));

    xmelab: *E,CUVMUR (./netlist.vams,22|11): instance 'foruminvtb.I1' of design unit 'foruminv' is unresolved in 'worklib.foruminvtb:vams'.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Ok thanks. I thought this was probably the case with OSS netlister but I thought I would check in case I was missing something. Using include lib fixed the problem when using OSS.

    I think the issue with Unified Netlister is that using calcVal to setup a simulation parameter based on a result from a previous test doesn't work, but was OK with OSS. Not me running this test so I'm a bit vague on details.

    Regards,

    Robin

    Robin,

    That's odd. I can't think why calcVal should have anything to do it. Please ask your colleague to report this though if they've not done so already - we don't want you having a dependency on having to use OSS as it's not there in IC618.

    Andrew.
