VerilogA

Could anyone help me out with how to open editor to get started with VerilogA , I have chosen VerilogA in the cell view but it open up a command prompt and the keyboard dosen't seem to work alright there. 

I have attached a few pictures which makes things clearer.

    It's probably just the fact that it's opened a terminal window using "vi" as the editor. If you're not familiar with that, then you're going to struggle.

    If you'd not been using a version of the tools which is at least 9 years old, you'd have found that there's now a built-in Verilog-A editor which is much more "mouse friendly" than vi.

    Since you're using this very old version, you could (in the CIW) enter:

    editor="gedit"

    or

    editor="nedit"

    (depending on which editor is available on your machine) and maybe a more familiar editor will open when you do the File->New->CellView, if "vi" is not known to you.
