ERROR - DB-270000 - Invalid String Index - Cannot Open for Read or Edit a Cell

There is one cell in my library that I cannot open, regardless if it's read only or write. It simply won't open.

Error code:

(DB-270000): dbOpenCellViewByType: Invalid string index.

"Would you like to open it for read"

When I open for read, it gives me the same message. But instead of an error popup, it is written as a *WARNING* in the ifcb.

Is this salvageable?

You didn't say which tool version you're using. Assuming it's a recent enough IC version (I found reports of this being addressed 10 years ago, so let's assume it's a version dated from within the last 10 years - see what getVersion() returns in the CIW), then you should be able to use the oaScan utility to repair the database.

If that doesn't work, contact customer support.

    Andrew.
