Problem with SwapSweep

Hi,

I am trying to plot the frequency of an oscillator as function of its control voltage, the expression in Calculator is like below

swapSweep(freq(v("/oscout" ?result "tran") "rising" ?xName "time" ?mode "auto" ?threshold VAR("AVDD")/2) "vtune" 4e-07)

This works well when I plot it from Calculator. But when I send it to ADE (maestro Outputs Setup) and click re-evaluate, I get an error as below:

INFO (ASSEMBLER-2328): Following error occurred while re-evaluating output F_vs_vtune :
*Error* _drSwapSweep: (CALC-3): Cannot perform the Swap Sweep operation because the input waveform is not a parametric waveform.

What is wrong??

Thanks!

If you're using Assembler, then use change the evalType column for that measurement to be "sweeps", "corners" or "all" depending what you're sweeping over. You can't just have the expression evaluated per point, as that won't be seeing the entire set of data otherwise, so you need this to be a "measurement across sweeps". In Explorer, you need to enable the evalType column by using the right mouse button menu over the column names first.

    Thanks for your reply.

I used Sweeps and re-evaluated and I got nothing: no waveform in the Results tab!

I switched to Corners and I got some empty cells in the Results tab that I could plot but the curves are isolated points (not continued lines).

I switched to All and just like Sweeps I got nothing!

How can I get what I normally get using Calculator??

I would suggest you contact customer support - trying to guess precisely what you've done or why this is not working is a little tricky (plus I have very little time today), so support would be a much better approach. Please let them know the sweep setup, output expression, and software version used.

    Andrew.
