How can I change several tests on Assembler simultaneously?

Hello,

If I have an Assembler maestro setup with several sub-tests and I want to make the same change to all of the sub-tests how would I do that?

E.g. say I want to change the model files used, or change the outputs saved, or the simulator settings and have that change common to several tests.

With the old ADE-XL I could just make the changes in one test, save the state, then load that state onto the other tests.   But since there's no states anymore I don't see how to do that with Assembler.

I'm still getting used to the L/XL -> Explorer / Assembler change.

Thank you,

Bill Huff

    Hi Bill,

You can use the Multi-Test Editor to do this (in IC618 - from an early ISR - I think it was added in ISR3 or 4 if I remember rightly). Tools->Multi-Test Editor.

You can also descend into the test, and then do Session->Import to import from another test (possibly in another view). However, the multi-test editor is more finegrained than the import, and helps you compare the settings across multiple tests, and potentially copy them (e.g. just unify the stop time of a transient across all your tests, but leave everything else the same).

    Andrew.

    Thank you Andrew

I see now - with the import I can basically do the equivalent of loading the "state" from any test in any history in any other maestro assembler views.

    Thank you,
