Adding parameters for Annotating additional DC operating points

Hi All,

I am trying to add the highlighted dc operating parameter but it is not allowing me to annotate that on the schematic post simulation, can you please suggest a solution ?

That's because the component only has 6 cdsParam labels (I expect). You can only annotate the extra info using "info balloons" (if you enable info balloons, you'd be able to see it if you hover over the component). You can check that "Balloon" is enabled by using the right mouse menu over the column headings and ensuring that "Balloon Column" is checked.

The lilac colour is used to indicate when you've gone beyond the available cdsParam labels on that component's symbol. By the way (for your information) you can also annotate expressions of the operating point (e.g. vgs-vth) or gm/gds

    Andrew.

    thanks for the reply Andrew,

so if i remove a parameter from out of the already existing 6 parameters like gds can i add region in place of that ? I tried removing the gds parameter by selecting the "delete row" option highlighted below but still I am unable to remove gds.

As you suggest I can also add vdsat , region to the ADE as an expression from the calculator - so from the ADE expression can I annotate that on the schematic ?

    thanks

You can't delete any rows corresponding to the available cdsParam labels. So if there are (say) 5 labels (as there are in my case), then these 5 rows remain on the form. You can only delete additional (balloon) rows:

However, you can just click in the box where it says "gm" and edit it - delete the text (to remove the value altogether) or change it to something else (e.g. region or vdsat - what is available should be in the drop-down list when you've clicked in the field).

You're not annotating calculator expressions here - you can perform simple arithmetic combinations of the operating point parameters:

    Anyway, hope that helps!
