Quantus QRC Setup

Hi,

First, let me state that I'm new to this forum, so pardon me if I didn't follow some rules of the forum. I will get to know them as time goes on.

I need to run parasitics extraction througn Calibre - QRC integration so I'm having some challenges setting up the QRC. I'm trying to setup the QRC tab in my cadence but have not been successful with that. PVS has been installed and it shows up in Cadence Virtuoso but QRC does not. I'm not sure if this QRC is supposed to show up under the PVS tab or it should be a standalone tab on its own. The instruction from the foundry for running the parasitics extraction specifies that "Run Calibre - Qauntus QRC" command will be under the QRC menu. So my issue right now is to be able to have this QRC menu.

I use Cadence ICADV12.3 and version 18.

I appreciate your response.

Thanks.

By "version 18" do you mean ICADVM18.1? Or are you talking about the Quantus QRC version?

In order to get the Quantus menus then you simply need to have the QUANTUS201 (or older EXT191) in your UNIX path - i.e. <QUANTUSinstDir>/bin in your $PATH. Then start virtuoso after that, and you should get a "Quantus" menu in the layout editor.

    Andrew.

    By version 18, I mean ICADV18.1

The QAUNTUS path has already been added to the UNIX and yet it doesn't show up

Below is a cutout of the echo $PATH result

    /opt/cadence/installed/LIBERATE151/tools.lnx86/bin:/apps/centos-x86_64/cadence/2018/installed/ic618/QUANTUS201/bin:/apps/centos-x86_64/cadence/2018/installed/ic618/QUANTUS201/tools.lnx86/bin:/usr/bin:/apps/centos-x86_64/cadence/2018/installed/icadvm18.1/bin:/apps/centos

    Thanks.

    Ademola,

That's a bit odd then. Assuming that the path is really pointing to Quantus (so if in a terminal, if you type "which qrc" does it find it? If you type "cds_root qrc" does it find the root of the QUANTUS201 installation?), then I think you'll need to take this up with customer support.

With which qrc, I get this:
    /apps/centos-x86_64/cadence/2018/installed/ic618/QUANTUS201/bin/qrc

and with cds_root qrc, I get
    /apps/centos-x86_64/cadence/2018/installed/ic618/QUANTUS201,

Is that ok or the path needs to be exactly the same?

    Thanks for your assistance Andrew

That seems reasonable, so I'm not sure why it's not working. I think you'll need to contact customer support as I suggested above.

    Andrew.
