Setting/defining variable initial condition in ADE Assembler/Explorer

Hi

I thought I've done it before but can't remember where and how I did this - basically I want to set the initial condition of a node with a variable.  I defined a variable in my design and set it as VDD and VSS (so two sets of runs) and want the initial condition for my cell to start from those two sets.  How do I define the initial condition to be a variable?  I see the convergence aids > initial conditions menu and have set the "Node Voltage" to both the variable name as well as VAR("variable_name") and neither way seems to work.

Is there a way to do this or was I recalling some other tool?

I'm using Virtuoso 6.1.8; spectre 19.1

Thanks

Chris

Huh, it looks like the way that I solved this was by how I defined the values in the design variables section - apparently the way I have illustrated above works but I didn't define them correctly in the overarching simulation

Yes. This method should work as I recently provided an example of it functioning properly in the recent post to the Forum at URL:

    I hope this helps Chris!
