Variable parameter in function of time in the ADE-L parametric analysis simulation.

Hello,

I'm a beginner on Cadence, I wanted to know if it was possible to vary a variable parameter in function of time in the ADE-L parametric simulations.

For example, I would like to observe the response of my system by varying a Vt parameter in time ( 0 to 10 ns, then 10 to 20 ns,....)

Thank you for your help,

Yes, if it's a piecewise variation, you can change the variable via the "dynamic variable" setting on the transient analysis form. You didn't mention which version you're using, but the UI is fairly obvious (it's a bit cleaner in more recent versions, but it's been there for many years). You should be careful not to make very big steps as that can lead to convergence difficulties as it would cause a discontinuity.

There are quite a few posts related to dynamic parameters on this forum, so you should find examples elsewhere.

    Thank you for your feedback,

I didn't really understand and I don't see the posts you're talking about. I would like my Vac (amplitude) parameter to be almost a pulse adjustable in time in ADE-L's parametric analysis without transforming this variable into a port . It's possible ? I'm using version 6.1.8-64b.
