Yvalue function

Hi All,

I wish to print the yvalue of a waveform generated after noise analysis using ADE-XL at a specific x-value let's say 1Mhz.

I find functions like xval , value in the calculator ... but not yval , perhaps I am missing the exact name.

Can anyone please suggest how can I print the value of the waveform at 1Mhz ?

Also is there a way/any settings to increase the FONT of the menus text and messages inside Virtuoso ?

I am using IC618.

thanks

That's what the value function does.

As for increasing the font size, this is not on the UI (for good reasons, which I'll explain) - but can be done with a SKILL function:

hiSetFont("label" ?name "Noto Sans" ?size 14)
hiSetFont("text" ?name "Noto Mono" ?size 14)

for example. You could miss out the ?name "Noto xxx" bit if you want want to change the current font and just the size.

However this needs to be done with care, because many of the forms in Virtuoso still use older form creation technology which used pixel coordinates rather than relative placement, and so they may produce overlaps if too large fonts are used. As we update various parts of the tools, forms are gradually being updated to cope with form stretching and font resizing, but it's not universal. That's why the Options->Fonts in the CIW does not offer you the choice of font size, because it would then suggest that this is readier than it actually is. Note that the font size is retained from session to session - you can reset it easily by using the Defaults button on the Options->Fonts form.

    Andrew.
