How to store all actual values into layout cells

Hi,

I'm doing a technology change, where the pdks are very similar. In schematic I could simply replace the master cells and take over the parameters.

But in layout things get complicated:

  • For most instances it is ok to change the master and copy over the set values.
  • Some default values have changed in the new pek and I have to set them manually *fine*
  • But: When the abutment server has changed values these are NOT stored in the old devices (now blinking, so I just see the stored/changed properties).
The behaviour is not consistant, so sometimes the information if left/right contacts are placed is present, sometimes not.

My idea is to store ALL set values (even the unchanged ones) to the instances in the old pdk setup, and then copy them back in the new one.

Bringing me back to the topic: How to store all of them?

Tool: Virtuoso 6.1.8-64b

Best Regards,

leo
