Using FinFETs in OrCAD Capture

Dear Andrew,

Happy to see your reply on blogs and forum.

Today I have started to work on FinFETs in Cadence OrCAD capture. I could not find the finfet in the library.
Am very new to cadence and please help me out in the simulation of finfet inverter using 32nm technology on OrCAD capture or how to write Pspice code for finfet inverter.

    Sati,

Since this had nothing to do with the thread in which you posted, I split it into a new thread (and changed the title to make it more reflective of the question).

OrCAD Capture is normally used for PCB design entry, not for IC design. The reason being that the associated layout tools are for board layout, not IC layout. So it does not make a great deal of sense to use the OrCAD tools for this, or PSPICE for this - you're unlikely to find the relevant resources (I must admit I don't know whether PSPICE supports the models that are needed for FinFET design, but it would be a rather atypical use of the tools).

You should use Virtuoso Schematic Editor, the Virtuoso ADE Explorer/Assembler tools, and Spectre for simulation if you're aiming to do design on a FinFET technology. Not sure whether you're designing on a real technology or just want something representative? If you want something generic to get a feel for the flow, perhaps you could download the ADVGPDK from http://pdk.cadence.com as a way to do that?

    Regards,

    Andrew
