Unable to plot from ADE Assembler results tab

IC6.1.8.500-170,

Hi all,

I've been running some simulations using calcVal and I'm unable to plot the output waveforms when I right click select them. The CIW prompts:

"rdbLoadResults("fnxSession1" "./simulation//maestro/results/maestro/MonteCarlo.1/20/dc_over_temp/groupRunDataDir/psf/results/10")
*Error* Results DB handle is invalid."

Using the results browser to navigate there is impracticable since these are MonteCarlo simulations and need to see them all at once. Interestingly, if I use the simulation without calcVal (so the circuit it's uncalibrated) the results load normally.

Any hints?

    Dear unSkilled,

First, are you sure you are saving the waveform data for each Monte-Carlo simulation iteration? Please take a glance at the recent forum posting that details how to save the simulation waveform data for each iteration. The default condition for a Monte-Carlo simulation set is not to save the waveform data for each iteration and this will result in an error if one tries to plot the individual waveform results.

I am not sure of all you simulator and simulation settings, but thought I would initially make this suggestion!

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the "save waveform data" was selected and I could actually find the waveforms using the results browser. However, there was another setting that I think was causing the issue. In the assembler plotting/printing options only "plot signals" was selected. I changed it to plot waveform expressions and now I'm able to plot any waveform by right-click --> plot.

Please contact customer support. I did a quick search and there have been no reports of this error - so I've no idea why it's doing that. You're using the very latest hotfix; whilst it's possible it is something recently introduced, I would have expected somebody to have seen it before.

This needs investigation as whether the "rdb" is present, is properly formed, and so on - best handled by support.
