How to get a value as an output to an expression

paulinho

I'm using the above expression to get the dc loop Gain, and i expect the return of this expression to be a value. But what I get is again a single point plot as shown below:

What should I do to get a value as a return for this expression ?

I don't know which version you're using, which ADE you're using, where you're measuring this, if there are sweeps, but a simple solution might just be to wrap the entire expression with ymax()

    Dear paulinho,

Just to add to Andrew's recommendation and provide some clarity on your issue, if you are running your simulation using Explorer, are you suggesting that the value of your expression is both being printed as an Explorer output as well as being plotted as a single point? If so and you only want to view the expression as an output (without it being plotted as a point) you might verify your printing and plotting options under the Results->Printing/plotting options GUI shown as Figure 1. Note the option to plot scalar expressions and verify it is unchecked. Clicking the help radio button on the GUI, provides an explanation of its plotting options. I included a section of that as Figure 2 illustrating the result of placing a check mark adjacent the plot scalar expressions.

    Does this help paulino?
