Stretching multiple layout wires at once

I have been trying to stretch multiple metal 1 wires (pathSeg). (Cadence 6.18)

I've tried selecting them all then pressing s, only they all just move instead of stretching.

Reading a bit on here I then switched to partial-selection mode with F4 but they all just moved instead of stretching.

So I do not know how to stretch multiple wires- is this not possible with Layout suite L editor perhaps.

ah got it, you go to partial select F4 and click the tips a line in the middle appears then move on to the next holding shift when done press s and stretch. A bit tedious would be nice just to select and stretch but this understands that you want to move it.

If you want to pre-select and stretch just the ends, then you do indeed need to move to partial-select mode using F4. You can then (for example) area select the ends of the lines and that would select all the vertices within that region (note there are some controls on Options->Selection that control the behaviour).

If you don't select anything up front (i.e. nothing pre-selected), then when you hit "s" it automatically switches to partial-select mode and you can area select then to select the ends.

It's pretty flexible... not really sure why you see this as tedious?

If you've selected the whole object, it wouldn't know which vertex (or vertices) you actually wanted to stretch...

    Andrew.

you're right it's not tedious it's how I went about it. I did not realise you can area select just the ends. I was selecting each end one at a time!
