How to update schematic without layout

Hello,

Do I have any best way to update schematic without update layout?

This is the situation below,

I received the new schematic data from our customers, and I want to update to schematic to my working lib.

how can I update it without overwrite my own layout data.

  • In what form have your customers delivered the data? If it's a tar file with schematics in and no layouts, then you can probably just unpack it over the top of your existing library - the layout views would remain as-is. 

    Whatever you do, back up your data first!

    It's quite hard to be precise about this though, since I don't know what form the data you've received is in.
