Update global variables from active setup to run plan

Hi,

I have a maestro view which is mainly used by another designer. He sometimes updates the maestro view with more variables placed in the corners, or just adds more global variables in general.

This, unfortunately, disturbs my run plan that has already been setup.

I tried looking for ways to update the global variables from the active setup on the already existing tests (I don't want to have to create a new test), but I don't see any button on the run plan window.

My questions are:

Say I lock the maestro view after an update has been done by the other designer (new global vars, corners have new variable definitions, etc) which are different from the last time I created my run plan.

1) How can I update the corners and add the extra global variables (I also don't how many new are added) from the active setup without overriding the changes I made in the global variable list of my run plan test? (i.e. if varA=1 in my run plan test, but in the active setup varA=0, how can I avoid overriding my modification when updating the global variables from the active setup?)

2) If that can't be done, how can I do to at least keep the global variable list updated in my run plan?

3) How can I update the corner definitions from the active setup?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

First of all, if this was urgent, you should contact customer support.

Any existing corners would normally be synchronised between the active setup and the run plan. If you've added new corners in the active setup, you can drag them across to the run plan.

Any existing variables will show up in bold if they are in the run plan with different values from the active setup. You can drag them across from the active setup into the run plan and that will update them; similarly to you can drag across new variables into the run plan. A variable does not have to exist in the run plan if you wish - if not, it will use the active setup variable instead.

If I've misunderstood your issue or this doesn't answer your question, please contact customer support. I'm very busy with the day job this week and am unlikely to be able to spend more time on answering this further...
