make smaller or hide overlay in Cadence Layout XL

I cannot find how to hide or make smaller these wretched blue things (see pic) in Cadence Layout XL connectivity>compare with source.

They are useful but I cannot edit with them they are just way too big so if I could hide them and/or shrink them down that would be good.

See this thread. There have been a few requests to control the glyph size, or to make it a fixed number of pixels (currently it's a proportion of the size of the related objects), but so far the only option provided is to turn them off (which can be done on the Check Against Source form).
